Connecting with the Hispanic Heart: What Marketing Forgot, BOLD Made Visible

Connecting with the Hispanic Heart: What Marketing Forgot, BOLD Made Visible

Six years ago, BOLD was born out of a deep conviction: Hispanic communities deserve access, representation, and genuine inclusion in every space, starting with marketing.

Founder Ana Carolina Salazar didn’t act out of anger, but out of a clear unmet need. After years working in media, she saw the same gap happen over and over: Resources didn’t trickle down, stories weren’t told, and brands, both corporate and nonprofit, still didn’t know how to connect authentically with Hispanic audiences.

It wasn’t just frustration,” Ana Carolina says. “It was a need to see ourselves reflected. I wanted my community to have access to tools, to content, to real representation. I wanted us to feel like we belonged.

This wasn’t about launching another agency to fix a technical glitch. It was about opening doors, building bridges, and turning the Hispanic market into a hero, not a footnote.

“I didn’t just want to launch an agency,” Ana Carolina recalls. “I wanted to build a bridge. Between strategy and community. Between commerce and culture. Between marketing as translation and marketing as true representation.”

What BOLD Has Learned in 6 Years of Cultural Impact

Since 2019, BOLD has established itself as a cultural strategy agency that moves beyond the surface and builds purposefully. Over the years, we’ve learned one thing: Hispanic marketing is not a side project. It’s a responsibility.

Data provides context, but empathy gives it life. With over 65 million Hispanics in the U.S. and an estimated GDP between $2.5 and $3.7 trillion, the numbers are massive, but they’re not the whole story. Every data point represents pride, struggle, and aspiration.

The most powerful campaigns aren’t the loudest. They’re the ones that listen. Our community doesn’t want “Latino coating.” We want authenticity, creativity, and depth.

Culture isn’t a format. It’s a lived experience. Bilingualism, Spanglish, family values, cultural heritage, and bicultural identity aren’t barriers. They’re bridges.

Hispanic buying power is rising. From 2014 to 2024, it grew 79%, reaching an economic power comparable to the world’s top 10 economies.

Latinos are digital trailblazers. Eighty-one percent stream video content, and we’re often the first to embrace emerging tech like augmented reality (AR) and shoppable TV, which makes us the perfect audience for innovative, tech-driven marketing strategies.
Behind every percentage point in the Hispanic market is a powerful story. When a brand connects from within, everything changes.

BOLD’s Present and Future

This year, BOLD is not just celebrating six years. We’re reaffirming our mission. With the launch of a new website and refreshed visual identity, we’re doubling down on our role as a bridge-builder, where strategy meets design, and design meets community.

We’re also launching Digital Studio powered by BOLD, a platform made especially for Latino entrepreneurs. Why? Because growth shouldn’t be a luxury.

If we made it this far,” Ana Carolina says, “others can too. And they deserve the same tools.

Rooted in Orlando, Fueled by Community

Ana Carolina lives in Orlando, a city that today pulses with Latino energy:

The metro area is home to roughly 2.5 million people, with nearly 30% identifying as Hispanic. Hispanic households are larger on average (3.26 members vs. 2.42 for non-Hispanics), reflecting multigenerational richness.

The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando, with 2,500+ members and national recognition, is a thriving hub for Hispanic entrepreneurs.

Orlando boasts a fast-growing Latino business community, with one-third of new entrepreneurs in Florida identifying as Hispanic, supported by strong local networks that elevate leadership.

Orlando inspires us,” Ana Carolina says. “Every day, I see how our Hispanic roots fuel a thriving business ecosystem.

An Invitation with Purpose

BOLD moves forward with clarity:
